A rug might need a clean today. Next year, a reweave. Ten years on, storage during a renovation. We do them all, one rug at a time, in the same Newark shop since 1978.

Why one shop

A rug has a lifetime.
We handle every stage.

The rug that arrives new needs a pad cut to size and fiber protection. A year later, a cleaning. Three years in, a dining-room accident — pet stain removal. Ten years, moth damage repair, or a move-induced storage stay. Every phase of that rug’s life, we have seen before, and we handle on the same bench.

This matters because when services live in different shops, information is lost. The colour-match from a reweaving job done in Oakland doesn’t transfer to the cleaning in San Francisco, because they’re not the same rug in the same memory. Our tag stays with the rug, so does the craftsman’s note — and it is all still our responsibility.

How we work

Same process. Every service.

1. Free pickup

We come to you. San Francisco, Peninsula, East Bay, South Bay. No charge to pick up or deliver.

2. Written estimate

Every rug inspected on the bench. You get a typed, itemized estimate before a drop of water touches the rug.

3. Hand work only

No machines, no steam. Every service is bench work, by craftsmen, one rug at a time.

4. Delivered home

Wrapped and driven back. Placed in the room, rolled into position. We do not leave until you approve.
