Do you pick up across the whole Bay Area?
Yes — free pickup and delivery from San Francisco to San Jose, from the Peninsula through Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont, Mill Valley and Tiburon. Outside that radius we route through a partner carrier with full insurance.
How long does a typical cleaning take?
Seven to ten business days for a standard Persian or Oriental rug. Longer for heavy soil, silk chemistry, or when repair work is included. Every estimate gives you a firm return date before any work starts.
How do I get a cost estimate?
Text a photo or call. We’ll quote a square-foot rate on the spot for most rugs. For hand-knotted antiques or repair work we inspect the rug in person and email a written estimate within 24 hours.
Can you bill insurance directly for water or pet damage?
Yes. We work with every major carrier (State Farm, Allstate, AAA, Farmers, and more) and bill adjusters directly. We’ll document the rug’s condition with photos and a written statement, handle claim correspondence, and only collect your deductible.
Do you offer emergency or same-week service?
For water damage, burst-pipe events, or an urgent pre-event deadline, yes. Call the shop and ask for rush service. We rearrange the wash queue and can usually complete a standard rug in 48 hours for a rush surcharge.
What are your shop hours — can I drop off?
The Newark atelier is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed on weekends. Most clients prefer our free pickup, but drop-offs are welcome during open hours — we have street-level loading and will help unload from your vehicle.
